Indonesia is phenomenal. IPad Although not yet officially sold by Apple in Indonesia, but the tablet computer reportedly been used by nearly 3000 people. In fact, 30% of them are already using 3G iPad.

iPad is launched early April 2010 and then, claimed Apple had sold one million units in just three weeks since thrown into the market. Nevertheless, 10% among buyers, as reported by Yahoo to come from outside the United States (U.S.)

Though, as we know, iPad time only the U.S. market prepared for consumption only. Seeing the high demand from outside the country,  the Apple finally expand its market to 10 countries in Europe and Asia. But not including Indonesia.

Nevertheless, the fact that the gadget does not dampen interest in the homeland. Based on the record Axiata operator XL, reportedly there are about 2500 until 3000 iPad units that have been used in Indonesia.

In iPad 3G, card slots that are available do not has size with SIM cards in general. This card slot is 40% smaller. To use it many users iPad 3G SIM cut to fit the slot of the card.

Potential operators had already glimpsed long ago. In addition to XL, Telkomsel, and reportedly several other operators are also ready to launch a special SIM card-sized mini.

Cellular operator launches micro Axiata XL SIM card SIM Card Mini for postpaid broadband Internet services. Mini SIM card can be used directly in the iPad 3G without bothering to cut it anymore.

The  postpaid internet mini card users  will be charged at Rp 150 000 per 30 days for 1GB usage quota. This card is purely for Internet access only and can not be used to make or receive phone calls or SMS short messages.

For Internet packet Rp 150.000/30 day / FUP1GB, access speeds can reach 256 Kbps. If you have reached the quota of 1GB, the speed will be reduced to 64 Kbps. Speed access and quotas will come back to the beginning after 30 days. In addition to XL, Telkomsel’s cellular operators will also prime the micro SIM cards next week and Indosat operator in July.

Besides going to release a mini card, a subsidiary of Telkom was also preparing the market square off iPad 3G and iPhone 4.
